About
Introductions that change outcomes
When a business hits serious trouble, the outcome is often decided by who they speak to — and how fast.
Harbourfirst is a UK introducer. We connect directors of companies in financial difficulty — including those facing HMRC winding-up petitions — with the right regulated specialist: a licensed insolvency practitioner or an insolvency solicitor, matched to the situation and moving quickly.
What we do
We do one thing well: we make a fast, well-matched introduction to a regulated professional at the moment it matters most. We monitor public registers and court records, we understand the timeline a distressed company is on, and we put the right firm in front of the right director before options narrow.
What we are not
We are an introducer, not an advisor. We do not give legal, insolvency, financial or debt advice, and using this site does not create any advisory or professional relationship with us. The regulated firm we introduce you to advises you directly, under their own engagement terms and professional regulation.
How we're paid — and what it costs you
The professional firm pays Harbourfirst a referral fee when an introduction becomes an engaged client. The business and its directors pay us nothing. Fees are agreed with our partner firms up front. Where a licensed insolvency practitioner is involved, any referral fee is arranged through the solicitor in line with the Insolvency Code of Ethics — never as a payment for an insolvency appointment.
Our principles
- Speed with care. The earlier a director speaks to a regulated specialist, the more can usually be done.
- One matched firm. We don't sell your details to a panel of buyers. Each situation goes to a single firm suited to it.
- No cost to the business. Directors are never charged for an introduction.
- Compliance first. We work within SRA introducer rules, the Insolvency Code of Ethics, and UK data-protection law.
- Calm, never predatory. We contact people to help them act early — never to pressure a vulnerable director.
