Privacy notice
Who we are. Harbourfirst ("we") connects directors of UK companies showing signs of financial difficulty with regulated professional advisers. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: enquiries@harbourfirst.co.uk.
Where we get your details
We work only from lawful sources: public registers — principally The Gazette and Companies House — and, where applicable, licensed commercial data providers, information you give us through our enquiry form, or a professional adviser who referred you with your consent. Where we contact you first, we tell you the specific source in that first message.
What we hold and why
- What: your name and role as a company officer, your company's public filings and court notices, business contact details, and anything you choose to tell us in an enquiry.
- Why: to offer your company an introduction to a regulated adviser, and to respond to your enquiry. For information you send us, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request. Where we use public-register data to make contact, our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); our legitimate interests assessment is documented and available on request.
Who receives it
Only a regulated firm you have agreed to be introduced to, and service providers who help us operate (for example our email and form-handling providers) under contract. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and contact records only as long as needed for the purpose above and to meet our legal obligations, and then delete them. If a petition against your company is dismissed or withdrawn, or you ask us to stop, we close and cease using the record.
Your rights
You may object at any time — one email to enquiries@harbourfirst.co.uk and we stop contacting you and suppress your details. You also have rights of access, rectification and erasure, and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
